If you prefer traditional high street shopping to the online approach then looking for food appliances needn't be at all problematic. Unless you live in the back of beyond, most major UK destinations feature at least one major retail outlet from which everyday food appliances can be purchased.
In terms of width of range one of the UK's popular catalogue chains would be the best place to start looking. Argos and Littlewoods Index are the two most common chains fitting this mold and both stock a comprehensive range of kitchen products at competitive prices. Brands that can be found at these shop include Philips, Hitachi, Swan, Kenwood, Russell Hobbs and Moulinex.
Both these shops have websites from which the majority of the products that are available in-store can be purchased. Their website addresses are:

Delivery is normally cheap and fast with some exceptions depending on the availability of the product. If you are unable to locate a catalogue shop in your immediate area then you might wish to try a major supermarket such as Tesco or Asda. These two shops in particular keep a wide range of electrical food appliances and because of their retail muscle they can buy in bulk and often pass the savings on to the customers. Smaller branches of these stores might not have the space to sell these products so it's worthwhile calling them before you make a visit.
Other high street favourites to consider are Currys, Comet and Dixons.
